What Does This Report Do?
The Booking/Roll Forecast Report is designed to assist ECE services with forward planning by providing a detailed forecast of bookings and available capacity. It helps services make informed decisions around staffing, child space utilisation, and session planning based on upcoming enrolments and booking patterns.
This tool supports proactive management by offering multiple views and projection types, allowing you to anticipate your needs with precision.

Types of Forecasts
The report includes several forecasting options, each serving a specific operational purpose:
-
Bookings
Displays all booked children based on current enrolment data. This is useful for understanding expected attendance on any given day. -
Roll/Actuals (Booked – Away)
Shows children booked to attend, excluding those marked as on holiday (added on the Chilren holiday register page). This reflects the actual roll, which is used for determining staffing levels and aligning with licensed capacity. -
Available Spaces
Identifies the number of spaces available based on your licensed capacity. This is calculated as Child place capacity – booked children as of date/s selected. This helps services manage enquiries, plan transitions, and maximise utilisation. -
Include Waitlisted Children
Adds children from your waiting list to the forecast, offering visibility into potential future demand. This is especially useful for planning room configurations and upcoming availability.
