How To Mark Fees/charges As Optional

When a fee is marked optional:

  • It will not affect any calculations or invoices.
  • It will only exclude the optional fee from the invoice totals displayed on the FamilyBoost Quarterly Statements.
This is particularly useful for fees such as fundraising contributions, donations, or other charges that are considered optional. As per FamilyBoost guidelines, these should not be included in the statement totals.
To mark a fee as optional, simply turn on the “Optional Charge” toggle when adding a new fee under the Fixed Fees Schedule.

Applying Fees Under Child Record:

Menu > List View > Children

Select Child > go to Booking and Fees tab

Add New Fees > Add Fixed fees

  • Add the fee type
  • Unit price can be updated
  • Add Effective date
  • Select Payee name
  • Add any discount if required
  • Select the recurrence pattern for the invoice.
  • Save
