What’s New
🚀 New Feature: Routines on the Kiosk App
We’re excited to introduce Routines, an easier way for Centres to record and manage daily checks digitally.
This update helps reduce paperwork, improves accuracy, and ensures information is seamlessly available to both staff and parents.
The following checks can now be recorded electronically:
- Sleep
- Nappy
- Food
- Bottle
- Sunscreen
🧭 How to Record Routines
- Enter your Admin PIN on the Kiosk App
- Navigate to: Children Activities → Routines
- You will see a Dashboard that displays all checks for a child in one place.
- Select a specific check (e.g. Sleep or Food) to start recording entries.
✅ Prerequisites Before Recording Routines
- The child must be assigned the relevant category (e.g. Nappy, Bottle, Sleep, etc.) within their child record.
- The child must be signed in on the Kiosk App.
📽️ For a step-by-step walkthrough, please refer to this video.
Important Notes:
- Once recorded, the data is also available within Reports → Checklists
- If a child is attending as casual (without a booking) but is assigned relevant categories, you can still record their checks on the Kiosk App.
- Nappy codes can be customised by accessing List View → Nappy Toileting codes.
📧 Additional Feature: Activity Updates for Parents
How It Works:
- Within the Parent Access screen, Centres can enable Activity Updates for selected parent contacts.
- When enabled, the system will automatically email the child’s daily routine summary to parents when the child is signed out.
Important Notes:
- Activity Updates must be explicitly turned on for each parent contact. You can turn it on for contacts in bulk also by selecting the relevant contacts → Actions → Activity Updates.
- The selected contact must also have “Receive Messages” enabled in their contact record for emails to be sent successfully.
📝 New Feature: Bulk Enrolment Confirmation
Centres are required to verify children’s enrolment details at least once annually, including emergency contacts, bookings, and additional information.
To make this process quicker and easier, we’ve introduced Bulk Enrolment Confirmation.
⚙️ How It Works
- Go to Children Records
- Select the relevant child/children (or select all)
- Click Actions → Confirm Enrolment
This will automatically email the PDF enrolment form to the parent contacts for confirmation.
✉️ Email Template
- A default message is included in the enrolment confirmation email
- Centres can customise this message under: Settings → Edit Centre → Custom Email Templates → Verification of Enrolment
🖊️ New Feature: Save & Resume Online Enrolment Forms
Parents can now save and exit the online enrolment form if they’re unable to complete it in one go.
How It Works
- If a parent starts filling out an online enrolment form and chooses Save & Exit
- The system will automatically email them a secure link
- Parents can click the link at any time to resume the form from where they left off
📝 Update: More Control Over Notes to Parents
Previously, any Note to Parent added via the Kiosk was automatically emailed to parents.
We have now enhanced this feature to give you more control over how notes are shared, recognising that not all notes are urgent.
What’s Changed
- Visible in the app only, or
- Emailed also, or
- Sent via text message, or all three combined.
🗂️ Improvement: Clear Tab Titles for Easier Navigation
Many Centres work with multiple areas of Juniorlogs open at the same time. To make this easier, each browser tab will now display the name of the area currently open (e.g. Enrolments, Invoicing, Reports).
⚠️ Important Reminder: Sibling Invoice Contacts
We’ve noticed that in some Centres, additional contacts who receive sibling invoices have the “Receive Invoices” option turned on for one sibling but not the other.
To ensure invoices are delivered correctly, please make sure that:
- The contact has “Receive Invoices” enabled under each sibling’s record
This check helps avoid missed or partial invoice delivery for families with multiple children enrolled.
