Centre Audit Checklist
The purpose of a funding claim audit is to:
- Verify that the service is claiming and receiving the correct amount of funding (including the funded child hours claimed).
- Verify that a service is meeting the record-keeping requirements
- Provide advice and assistance to services about record-keeping requirements
A service’s enrolment, attendance and staff management is assessed as part of this process and SMS reporting such as monthly attendance registers, staffing rosters showing SHC calculations and daily or weekly child attendance summaries (that map to RS7 funding that is claimed) can be useful as part of this process to validate against staff, attendance and enrolment records.
